I was hired with my company as a Senior QA Engineer starting at 95k in the mid-west. I supervise two full time QA technicians. I really impressed my boss in my yearend review, and now I'm staring down the barrel of a promotion to QA and EHS manager. Why do combined roles have a lower expected salary, even though they possess more responsibility? I want to ask for 140k, but my gut says they're going to offer me 120k. I have 9 years of full-time experience, and work in the manufacturing industry.

I work as a Business Development Manager at a sports club.. I’ve been given a couple of months “trial” in the 6 figure and above sales in which I don’t see going back to my other role on lower sales. Hi All, I was offered a role with Aecoms San Francisco office working with an energy client for a midlevel associate environmental planner. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. This is given that I had 1.5 years in land use planning and a recent masters graduate in urban planning.

Does BNP APAC does background verification before sending offer letter or after sending the offer letter?

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
