Thinking about moving to a big city with the following preferences. I am thinking about Dallas, philly, or Chicago. What’s your experience living in those cities? Is there any other city I am missing?
1. Growing economy and population
2. Great food scene and things to do as a young professional
3. Relative LCOL can’t afford housing in NY, SoCal, etc.
4. Diversity of culture especially a bigger Chinese presence

48 days sober. The double edge sword of the weekend. I went to a meeting, for ready for Easter,cooked dinner and there are still three more hrs in Saturday. Restless!

Tomorrow, Wednesday at 12PM EST, is our sober in advertising AA meeting. Still looking for a speaker if someone is willing to qualify!

just hit 1 year of sobriety. only went to one AA meeting my 1st week of getting clean, but tired of strong-arming it and feeling the need for community lately - good meetings in downtown nyc or bk?

Full calendar month today. Longest without drinking in a very long time. I found it easier than I thought I would, but holy fuck has my sugar intake gone up.

Did others experience the same? Any tips?

If u have the addictive gene, Advertising is so easy to self destruct. Supporting each other is invaluable. Keep these posts going. It DOES get better. U can be sober in advertising.

Seattle here. I had a 18 month stint of sobriety about 6 years ago. Fell off and now I'm slippin once again. I know being a dry drunk does not work for me. Glad this group is here. Time to re-make friends with Bill.

What's the difference between an alcoholic and someone who drinks too much? After two months of three drinks pretty much every day, I'm wondering where the line is and how you know you're crossing it.

Any recs for good meetings in Atlanta, especially early AM/late evening?

Working at a place now where they drink like it’s the 80s. Start at lunch, go all day and night I’ve been sober a long time so I’m fine w it all. I’m just surprised people still do this.
