I wouldn’t give it another thought. If it’s really on your mind, send it in. And honestly, I know that must have been incredibly difficult, it doesn’t define you. Generally as a staff I to get NTP, that’s really on your teams for not training you appropriately.
Good luck in the future.
Thank you that is what I needed to hear! And thank you for your kind words, it was definitely heartbreaking at the time but I’ve realized since then that it was probably for the best.
OP, I was let go from a role and can confirm most companies (EY probably included) will only disclose that you were employed, dates of employment, and title. They won’t discuss why you left. It does them no good to help potential competitors and open themselves up to any legal complications. I would probably refrain from using anyone there as a reference though.
EY and other big 4 will only tell future employers the dates that you were an employee. They would never disclose ratings or anecdotes. It’s not in their best interest to prevent a former employee from getting hired.
Don't worry about it
Just tell them you were laid off in job interviews. You must of signed something in order to get your severance. I know I had to. They won’t say anything negative about you as it opens up a lawsuit against them.
Ngl I actually really don’t think I signed anything. They are just extremely unorganized lol
What does NTP stand for?
Needs To Progress
Sounds like you were fired for cause. Not sure EY would say anything more than that.
NTP = Needs to Progress
