At least 51% equity. Tell them you've got to have skin in the game and be able to make all the decisions!
Umm you’re gonna be the CEO but you can’t even figure out what comp to ask for?
Something tells me this startup’s gonna go far 😂
“I was offered a job as CEO, what does that do?"
Why would the founder of the company not want to be ceo?
What are you bringing to the table?
How replaceable are you?
What is current value proposition of the startup?
Do you see any value in the offering?
Above should help you.
Trading range is $100-150k. Keep in mind that early investors look for the potential of 10x returns, and want a management team that thinks along the same lines. If you decide to take the deal, you should be focused on equity upside, not current-year cash comp.

I’d be cautious. Founders not involved, no team readily available to help, pressure from investors - sounds like you’re going to tank, unless you’ve done something like this before and turned a profit.
If you do go for it, be prepared to leave/get let go after about a year, definitely two
You can have whatever you like
a16z just had their salty research leaked. Get to googlin’ for the details, which included equity, salary, and enterprise/consumer versions

Agreed with TWE. Whatever they offer cash, if you can live with it, take it... then ask for 50% more equity than they offer
You the CEO, demand the moon
You want anti liquidation.
For such a big role I’d pay for a salary benchmark report.
Genuinely curious, what’s the difference between “greenfield” and “brownfield” in the startup world?
Chief Entertainment Officer?’
Did you take the role OP? Curious to know how it’s going
