I was recently made an offer at two different companies for similar roles. CNA and Nautilus. I am trying to figure out which one I want to go with. I know CNA has been around longer. Which I do like. Nautilus is Excess and Surplus and I feel like the claims themselves would be more interesting. CNA is in office 6-8 times a month while Nautilus is fully remote. Base salary is the same. Any insight on either one? I’m so stuck in the middle.

Compare benefits package? How much is premiums for insurance, pto days #, holidays, 401k percentage match & vesting schedule. How far is commute? Calculate gas/time. Many don’t value benefits correctly.

Like you, employers who have been around for years matter to me. l'm not familiar with Nautilus but I've had a eight year history with CNA, not as an employee but as an independent insurance agent. I love writing business with them because quoting with them is easy and whenever I need to speak with an underwriter I get connected to them immediately and get correct answers to my questions. So I guess I find them easy to do business with. Again, I know absolutely nothing about the Nautilus.

Had two rounds of interviews for an in house role and really like the company/job. I followed up Friday regarding next steps and was told they are still interviewing and should be wrapping up soon. Currently working on a three person team in a larger GC group. I lateraled from a different group that did not pay attorneys on an attorney scale. I’m stuck in my old pay scale but have gotten promotions and raises quickly with more on the horizon. A recruiter reached out with a new role for 2-2.5x more than I currently make doing something similar. I love my company and the people I work with but the money isn’t there. Is it worth trying to get a counter to stay if I get the bigger offer?

Which one should I go for?

1. Oracle - 18.3 LPA fixed + probable bonus (I may or may not get)
2. Amadeus - 18 fixed + 1.5 variable.

Amadeus is also giving joining bonus of 75k. Amadeus is paying more, may give better hikes too, but I am finding it hard to let go off Oracle's brand name on my resume even if it's means around 2L less over an year. I am planning to work for atleast 3 years in my next company.

What would you have done in my place? Should I go for Oracle or Amadeus?

Hi Fellow Fishies,

I am reaching out because I was recently contacted to interview for Cigna Provider Engagement Development Program. I wanted to see if I could connect with anyone on here that I can help give a breakdown of what this program entails, day-to-day, and WLB. Any tips on the interview and interview process for anyone working in this position? I would be truly grateful for any help or information that can be provided!

So, I started working full-time at a retail store for clothing and accessories and after a brief dispute with my supervisor (my bike broke down which made me come in 20 minutes late to y shift) they told me that it seems like working is not my priority, so to make it easier on me I would only get 20 hours a week. Things are tight as it is, I can't start working half-time. Please someone share some advice or any job opportunities you've seen out there

I feel like every company lies about “working your way up.” You’re never allowed to blatantly say that you don’t like your position and you’d like to transition to HR or Finance. It’s almost as if once you get in claims, you’re stuck.

If you’re a manager and you see an employee that wants to branch out into a different department, why would you keep them boxed in for 2+ years?

Are there some background mechanics that I’m missing?
