I was working Crew at a very busy SoCal Chipotle. During a rush I was usually appointed cashier because I was efficient and polite. That day the line was long and people crowded for pickup orders. I witnessed someone well-dressed come in and dart straight towards me. I looked away to signal a manager to deal with whatever this was. Without a word the guy reaches into the tip jar, turns around, and heads back out the front door with a handful of cash. Everyone around me was speechless.

I know I'm in the minority here (and I swear this isn't a brag) but is anyone else less stressed this busy season working from home, and finding issues focusing because of it? Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

getting asked for discounts constantly when they know its a hard " no " but keeps asking is crazy to me

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

I had customers tell me how amazing the salads I make for them. It’s great that I can make salads that good!
