I read something a while ago about how LLMs were training on the web, and when they came across satirical sites they just had no idea. So something like an article from the Onion could conceivably turn up as being real. Given how much wrong stuff is on the web, you have to assume that AI engines are pretty badly polluted. Of course, we also live in an era where at least once a day I see a real story and wonder if it's fake, or I see a satirical item and wonder if it's real. So yeah, the human brain is wild, and it also gets confused.
This is so interesting, thanks for sharing
I would love it if this is something that we could do but I honestly don't see how it could be done. The thing is that I feel like sarcasm is more of a human emotion than something that could be taught to AI. Think about how people with autism don't understand sarcasm, I imagine that is how AI would be as well
Sarcasm is a very human emotion
