I work at an open pit gold mine in Nevada, I am currently a Level 2 security Tech. The company I work for is creating a completely new role they want me to be in. They are creating a Senior Security/ Safety Lead position to offer me. I am not sure what I should ask for as a salary or hourly rate. I would like to keep it hourly.

I would say don’t settle for less than 20% increase from what you are currently making, obviously if you can get more then go for it!

like

Always take the higher position with hopefully significantly higher paying and deall with possible more work and more responsibilities

like

20% increase in total comp (salary + bonus) is generally the minimum for a new role. Why do you want to stay hourly? This sounds like a move towards management, which would be salaried and consistent.

Google says, "A Senior Security Safety Lead in the United States makes an average of $28 to $41 per hour, depending on whether the role leans heavily toward physical guard leadership or high-level occupational health and environmental safety management."

Ever take salary they can work you hrs you yours you don’t get paid for you end up making less an hr than your making now. Oldest trick in the book

Sorry about the you, yours and you should check that before I post lol

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

During my interview process I clearly stated my salary expectations of 95k-105k. They came back with an offer at 80k. Is it even possible for us to come closer to a better agreement with them being so low? All other aspects of the job are in line with what I'm looking for, so I really want to make this work.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?
