I work with a woman who is the most toxic individual I have ever encountered. She's bad for the agency, offers no real value and downright mean. I have now had multiple conversations with my boss, HR and our president. Nothing has changed. I've decided, and stated to them, if this is an agency that wants employees like that I don't want to be a part of it. Im not the only person who feels this way and others have already left (contd)

I feel liberated and proud of myself that I am voicing my opinion before I quit vs after quitting and saying it in the exit interview. We shall see what happens, but they've been warned and now it's up to leadership what they want their agency to stand for.

Good for you for standing strong! I've been in my current position for 10 years and the firm had several "toxic" leaders in place. One by one they have left. A couple were terminated and the others were laid off (and not rehired) or retired. It took a long time but I'm proud that I championed for our employees and ownership took notice and they are now gone.

I had an employee that was horribly toxic. Everything you mention is exactly what she was. She made my life a living hell and no one knew how to get rid of her because she actually was competent. I swore she wasn’t going to drive me out. A year later she quit. I made sure I closed the door behind her on that last day. I felt such an amazing relief. My boss was so happy and thankfully, the office has been running smoothly ever since. People come by to chat, and feel such a sense of calm. God riddance!

My first boss , branch manager made my life miserable. She wanted fast promotion and she made me to work over the weekend. I did what she wanted ( not what I did not feel right) still she tried to humiliate me in front of others. Everyone was scared of her coz she was in good books of management. She was transferred to head office later and since , the office environment has changed. Everyone is happy and relief.
Later , I got to know she was demoted during retirement due to her unethical actions and her personal interests.

I’m with you on that one. Same situation. I have a female boss and she claims she’s all about fairness. I was really looking forward to working with her. Now I e learned that she only pursues what benefits her and makes countless mistakes. She takes no accountability for them. She’s violating so many HR and HIPAA regulations and none of her superiors care or do anything about it because we don’t have enough staff. They don’t want to rock the boat. Whatever. It’s going to go down in flames and I have my popcorn ready.

I feel you on that 100%.

You need to update your resume and exit that mess. This is literally not your company and they will have to face their consequences if they don’t fire that idiot.

I hate to say it, but she probably does exceptional work. As long as her annual review “meets or exceeds expectations” she’s not going anywhere 🫣 Wait her out or leave.

She definitely does not. If she did I could almost sort of accept it. There is not one thing good - except for her wardrobe. She has an amazing closet.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?
