I , worked in IBM from 16th may 2022 and got layoff there and my last working day is 6th feb 2024, so after that due to less working experience and knowledge, i failed and failed to grab an opportunity after that, after being reaching out to many mid size companies, many MNCs ,and 1000+ application, but all met with a rejection message, i am feeling demotivated now, and couldn't find to get out of it. Please help me with any suggestions or refferals to earn which is the main priority right now.

Have you been fired before even starting your new job?

I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I've emailed them with questions as I'll be re-locating to NL and it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply. Given all that's going on in the world, I'm worried they might fire me before I even start.

Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Wondering what I should do.

How am I expected to bill 1900 hours when I only have 8 cases and when I ask for work no one responds. I even asked the partner in person for work and he said he was slow and didn’t have anything for me.This month I’ve only billed 80 hrs. After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞
