Money aside - is Deloitte better for my career?
I’ve worked at both, same as you, SC @ IBM out of B school then many years later M @ D. Very different companies, ultimately D is a better company I believe, but very different culturally. No right answer here… the money isn’t enough of a factor to matter, but I do predict if you go to D at SC your work load will go up significantly.
Appreciate the insights

In the fed space, D is almost certainly better for your career, with substantially more opportunities for career growth and development than IBM.
From a culture and comp standpoint, I can't at all speak to IBM. While this lateral offer is a tiny bit higher for D, I can't speak to a long term comp prospect comparison.
deloitte has a lot of perks that ibm doesn’t offer, i used to work at ibm and hated how there was no culture. deloitte offices have events pretty often as well
IBMs ditching of the 401k would be enough for me to go Deloitte.
