Getting 7b job band with 50% raise, i have 7 years Business Analyst experience in IT services company.

What is the most useful technical or soft skills for any mechanical engineer to have where you work? I’m curious to know what really matters for everyone and what makes a big impact on the team and business.

Specifics if you can; CAD tools, simulation, CAD speed or proficiency, industry or standards knowledge, GD&T, certifications, Microsoft Excel, presentation skills, technical writing, project management, self organization, great communication, teaching ability, relationship building, etc.

Any advice for a young engineer trying to land their very first job out of college?

Curious about the opportunities people have found to successfully transition out of finance and maintain a somewhat similar pay. Duke energy? Lowe’s? 🤷‍♂️

Nagarro offering 27 max and 3lakh joining bonus.

Intiatially they told they are considering me for staff engineer role but after interview they are offering associate staff engineer. Is it worth to join?

I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.

Why spend 4-6 hours interviewing me just to say there isn’t actually a current role for me? Should I be reading between the lines (if so what does it mean?) or pressing harder for more detailed feedback?

Joined KPMG 3 months back at a package of X as an Assistant manager. The practise is still building over here and the project is support and not much learning is there. Stress is pretty high and motivation is running low.

Got an offer from Accenture as a Technology Consultant with package X+5.5. Should I consider the offer or stay back at KPMG after asking them to revise the package and improve working hours?
