For 8.5 yoe, you should be getting 7B, not 7A.
You haven't shared your offer CTCs, and I know designation doesn't matter that much, but the equivalent of Senior Assoc in CTS is 7B in IBM.
Getting a lower band with comparatively high CTC will also result in you getting a high PMR in IBM, which will impact your subsequent hikes.
IBM without any doubt
CTS was my last organization, considering the work-life balance and work culture. IBM is better than CTS.
Ibm is better than cts.
I heard 5-10% hike in CTS. Even in ibm we are seeing 1month max bench time and getting forced to enter into project by upgrading skills needed to that project. In ibm common hike is 1-5%.
I have worked with CTS folks even as part of clients. Work pressure wise Both are same now a days and any consultant need to work as per client environment . But increment wise CTS folks agreed that they had better hike %. Again it depends on your luck and managers mentality. In IBM there are some internal projects which are really cool and work life balance is best. But until 2 yr you may not get hike . Depends on your priority choose.
