@EY they would prefer that. Might not always get it since PE/VC pay so much.

I've been out of accounting for about 2 years because I decided to move to another country for life experiences. I will be moving back mid 2022 with my fiance and will go back to Audit most likely. My firm said they would gladly take me back when I left. If i was making 65k as a senior 2 years ago is it reasonable to ask for 72k and a 10k signing bonus even with a 2 year break? Would it be more reasonable if I went to a different firm instead? How much do you think is reasonable?

I had an initial discussion with a recruiter at Microsoft for a director role. She mentioned that the base salary would be $185K. That sounds very low. But I need help understanding if that’s true at all? — This figure doesn’t account for bonuses and stock. It is purely base. For reference, I have 8+ years of experience. Does anyone know what is the average salary at Microsoft for a director level?

Folks, any advice on applying for jobs at a previous client? As a firm we have great relationships with the senior client leadership and I am afraid that the GEP and my RL will eventually find out when I submit my job application. Flight with Delta delayed several times (in total 12 hours) before being cancelled, better to call in and complain or email, last time I emailed, it took a month to get back to me with only 7.5k miles
