Do MBA new hires get the same sort of safety as undergrad new hires in terms of grace period before pip/fired?

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. What’s the opinion about teaching at community college or as adjunct professor? I have my CPA license, but not masters. I’ve contemplated going back for a masters to be able to teach at the university level, but it seems like it doesn’t pay well these days. What does the progression track look like for post-mba consultants at MBB? Specifically, are there notable differences in promotion timing amongst the firms? I’ve noticed on LinkedIn that several BCGers have reached principal level in 3.5 years (2 as consultant, 1.5 as PL) whereas it seems to take a minimum of 4 years but sometimes even 5 for McK to reach AP level (which I believe is the equivalent?) Is this an accurate assessment?
