Shouldn’t be. The recruiter might not love it, but it shouldn’t throw out your initial application. If you have already accepted positions, that is different.
It won't be compromised in any way. It doesn't hurt to apply through the company directly. Sometimes they want you to fill out their online application anyhow.
No. That’s two systems, one goes to HR, another one goes to recruiter.
It could be. In a previous position (before I became a lawyer), my boss refused to hire someone because they'd applied to multiple roles with the same company. He interpreted that to mean this candidate wasn't enthusiastic/committed to my team or the role and he was worried that the candidate would transfer to another team at the earliest opportunity.
Recruiter here, it does compromise your candidacy. The company will let you know that they’ve received your resume from a recruiter. The firm signs an agreement with the recruiter saying that if they submit the candidate, they get the credit for the hire. So if the recruiter has already submitted your resume to the company, the company will tell the recruiter you’ve applied on your own. It helps to go back to your recruiter to represent you to that company.
(Ps, Im hiring for contract roles)
