Yes you can, but you will start off making 70k a year
Mid size is around 70k, not sure about smaller firms.
I’m almost the same age and asked my mentor the same question a couple years ago. The answer was that since I have focused most of my career in SALT that I’m better off getting a graduate certificate in SALT.

What exactly are you looking to do? You have an accounting background with some tax. Are you looking for s try level in public accounting? That's typically what MST will do for you.
I'm in my 40s. I have seen older entry level staff...usually don't do so well but it will really depend on you individually.
Depends on your school too. My masters program had great connections to accounting firms. We interviewed before our program started and almost all of us had job offers before the end of the first semester. Most went to big 4, some chose mid or regional

I don’t think it’s worth it at your age. The tuition cost and the opportunity cost combined with the short payback period mean you will be better off probably partnering with a CPA who needs some help in their practice, and learning from that person.
