What is the minimum time an associate has to spend at a firm to not burn bridges? I am considering a government job but have only been at my firm for about a year and a half.

I assume at some point you want to come back ( otherwise, why do you care ). The question is will your government experience make you more valuable when you want to come back ( e.g., you are going to the US Attorney’s office and want to come back and do white collar crime ). If that is the case, you have been there long enough for them to evaluate your work and coming back should not be a problem assuming you get the correct experience. On the other hand, if your government service adds no value, they either will not reoffer you a job or the salary offered might not be commensurate with your time out of law school.

I mean, you only need one good reference. 1.5 years shoukd get you there.

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

Thoughts on Wealth Management as an industry? Offered a role to work under a senior FA and eventually take over the book (~$800M AUM and growing). It sounds great, but I am worried about the disruption this industry is facing with Robo advisors and other low cost, DIY options. I’d want to make sure the clients stay through the transition, and I don’t want to join a dying industry. Thoughts and advice?

Does anyone know how to get in contact with a general biotech/pharma recruiter? I want to explore new career options within the field but I'm not sure where to start.

I am currently working in advertising with experience on fintech & CPG. I would like to work in tech marketing, specifically Google’s APMM program.
I’ve been studying some PM/PMM books/podcasts/videos, attending Google events, and want to keep learning more to try to prepare myself as much as I can.
What resources helped you get into product marketing/Google?
Has anyone here moved from advertising to tech?
Would love to hear from a marketer about their experience getting into Google.
Thank you

As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Been feeling spread too thin lately but I don’t know whats typical. Curious what others do. And would you mind sharing whether you’re a junior, midlevel, partner, etc??

I realize sheer number of cases doesn’t tell the whole story… obviously you can be buried on one massive case. I’m finding it hard to jump back and forth between everything I have going on right now, though, but I don’t know if the answer is to just deal with it.
