PwC benefits: (never worked at Deloitte, so idk their benefits)
- You never see a phone bill and get a free phone every 20 months
- Wealth Builder account you don’t have to contribute to
- HSA contributions from firm
- Low 401k match, but Wealth Builder makes up for it (fully vested in 6 years)
- 20% manager bonus
- 8 weeks paternity leave and the first 4 weeks when you return are a 60% schedule for 100% normal pay
- 22 vacation days a year after 2 years of service
- Real-time Rec
- Student loan pay down (I think you said yours are paid off)
- They pay a hefty portion of the healthcare for us to keep our payment low
For an example, my base last year was 55k. I calculated my total comp last year after all the benefits and whatever else to be about $78k. Pretty good gig for family of two living on just my income.
Practically $120 a month. That’s huge.
Edit: it is $116 a month.
The loan payoff $100 a month if you’re using!
Thanks. Great thought. Actually just paid off my last $100 last month.
And I may be giving up a small portion of invested funds in the wealth builder account.
No problem. Especially with recent years of SP 500 growth it should be bigger than you thought

I used to work at PwC. The Deloitte phone plans aren’t as good, you have to use Outlook/Skype instead of google suite, but otherwise generally the same besides the manager bonus you already mentioned
Does the cost of health insurance vary by state, or does everyone in the country, with identical coverage, pay the same rates?
If I remember correctly PTO at Deloitte is better than PwC. As a manager I have six weeks.
Yeah family leave may be more. Ours is I believe 8 weeks off the 4 week return to work 100% pay @ 60% hours
Vacation bumps to 22 days after 1 year
Wealth builder vests after 5 years (5th year is 40% vesting)
