If this job hunt has taught me anything, it's that companies will hire based off what THEY need; they don't actually care about what it is YOU need. For example, I had a phone interview a few days ago with a famously known company where you can purchase and sell your car without ever having to leave your house. The location wasn't too far from where I lived. But what THEY wanted was someone to work 7 days a week, 6am to 8:30pm.

I applied for a job at Embark about a week ago - should I be worried that I haven't heard back? How long does it usually take to hear back from a company after applying online? It's been a while since my last job search and I don't want to get too worked up after only a week if I don't need to.
