Hi,
I have around 4+ years experience as a technical support engineer for Microsoft processes like windows, exchange server and worked on both b2c and b2b environments. I would like to get in Vmware as a support specialist role or technical support engineer. I don't hold a degree at the moment, but doing a distance degree now. Will VMware consider this and is there any way for me to get in for these roles? Please share your comments.VMware

Houston is amazing and super underrated. Lived their most of my life, super diverse, great food, and lots of great museums and things to do, only drawback is the heat and potentially less job options depending on which industry you’re focused in, but great COL and lots of culture and things to do!
C6, totally agree.
Over 30 Los Angeles is the place to be. New York is alright but la has everything and anything New York has plus more. You want snow 1 hour drive. You want desert 1 hour drive. You wan ocean 1 hour drive. You want a weekend getaway for nightlife you can drive /fly to Vegas for a 2 day social event. San Diego is pretty cool too. I would only choose Houston if you want to save the monies and only monies. If money not an option, LA over everything
My beloved pebble on the sea is tiny. The point was listing series of places. Also note the use of 2 distinct sentences. Anyways - anyone who spent a couple of F1s there will get the point I was conveying in comparison to LAs flashiness.
I live in Houston, but have also lived in nyc and Chicago. Houston has a LCOL and amazing food, but the nightlife is pretty non existent. Unless you know people or are from Houston, I would NOT move to Houston.
I second the clickish attitude. I’ve lived in many cities, and by far Houston folks tend to stick to their ethnic/religious/school clicks only. A travesty that a city with such diversity tends to be very divided along ethnic and religious lines
Houston! All of the things to do but the cost of living is significantly lower than LA, NY, or Chicago.
Highly depends what your priorities are. If you want to afford the nightlife and socializing opportunities, Houston (no state income tax) and Chicago are much more affordable than NYC or LA. Remember: most consulting companies pay the same salary for each level irrespective of location.
This decision is also highly dependent on your weather preferences, driving preferences, relationship preferences (are you looking for hookups or trying to settle down), and where your friends live.
All of these cities have great food and nightlife. My personal choice ranking would be Chicago, Houston, NYC, then LA, but I’m a midwestern girl in a relationship who values affordability, less driving, and being close to college friends.
NYCCCC❤️ former NYer here!! 🥰🎉
The only answer here is nyc
Chicago succkkkkssss. Alls the others yes.
I have lived in Chicago for last 7 years. Love the vibe, summer activities, and relatively chill Midwestern people 👍🏻
None of the above. Too cold. Too expensive. Or too crime ridden.
LA hands down. And I don’t have ties to any of these cities but have spent considerable time in each. Another option to consider or add would be Miami.
In fact, not sure why you’re even considering Houston. It’s like moving to Atlanta.
I think just the relaxed California vibes along with the general diversity of everything.
Chicago is nice from a travel perspective because it’s central and an easy flight to almost anything. Nightlife is okay, but nothing to write home about.
I loved my travel to Houston and considered it an option if we get over LA. Know lots of transplants from NY, LA and SF in Houston who love it.
Chicago is just not an option
Atlanta
I'd replace #4 on your list with Austin
Once again, live where you would want to vacation. You’ll only be there on the weekends.
Houston, it’s in Texas
LA, not even close
Night life and single? Miami by far. Clubs and bars don’t stop till 3-4am. Easy to socialize if you live downtown brickell area. Cost of living is a little cheaper than NYC. only come if Latinas are your thing and you can speak a little bit of Spanish. Otherwise NYC for sure. Chicago is a settle down city as well is Houston
