Assets, sure. Real estate perhaps (though there may be a real estate crash in the future if the economy tanks, and I can't help but notice the tons of empty retail spaces in the downtown office tower where I work in one of the U.S.'s biggest cities, which was bustling before the pandemic). Gold. Diversified stocks, with a good chunk coming from international stocks to hedge against a U.S. crash. As for income coming from labor, focus on anything that needs precision human finger manipulation and body. Think chef, waiter, nurse, mechanic, electrician, plumber, physical therapist, doctor, massage therapist, chiropractor, appliance repairman, construction, painter, grocery store worker, law enforcement. Not always jobs that pay well, but jobs that won't be able to be replaced by AI in large part.
This doesn't sound right to me. AI can't replace an entire job; a human must be attached to it to explain the AI model. If there are no jobs, what are people going to earn? If no earnings, then what is the expenditure? If no spending, then who are these AI models working for?
It seems like the whole consumer industry is collapsing.
Money has to be put in people's pockets for them to spend and for these jobs to exist. Not everyone can be a doctor or a lawyer. And not everyone is going to be a labourer. So society will find a way to thrive and adjust.
