Apply directly with a referral, companies are looking to cut costs so they would prefer not to pay recruiter fees. But you need a solid referral to ensure your resume is seen by the hiring manager.
I tried that once and it said to apply on indeed
I’ve had way better luck going through a recruiter when possible! They can give you insight into what the company is really looking for and sometimes even push your application forward. But if I don’t have a recruiter connection, I still apply directly, never hurts to try both angles.
It seems counter intuitive but if I don't get an interview I may go that route next time
I would try the recruiter first honestly because I have generally had better luck that way but if you can't get ahold of the recruiter, applying direct would be better than nothing.
It's so dumb. It costs them so much money...
