If you’re interviewing for a job at a client (private, no disclosure required to your firm), would you tell your partner who could give you an amazing boost/review?

I know partners have talked about helping folks land outside, but have seldom seen it.

Of course it’s a risk, curious as to thoughts of PPMDs.

Is McKinsey Middle East not growing as fast as some of the other firms (BCG, Kearney, S&, …)? Haven’t heard of many people interviewing of late, especially for the UAE offices

I applied to an experienced consultant position at Bain and just heard back. Yesterday, I received an invite to a HireVue one-way interview to complete. Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. Am I going crazy? I feel like my close friend is always trying to “one up” me in conversation. Any time I make a point, they will go out of their way to prove I’m wrong with some sort of stat or evidence. It’s like they need to have the last say.

I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position?
