I’m a 38M, divorced about two years back. I’m reasonably healthy and financially stable.

In the last two years, I’ve met three women, all around my age group. I’m starting to notice that all these women carry intense baggage. It all seems great for 3-4 months where they are cute, dressed up, and flirty. Then slowly, I realize they all seem depressed. This is NYC btw. And most of them have never been married.

What is going on? Almost thinking it’s better to stay single as a man.

Trying to set family expectations and would love thoughts on 2 things. 1. How long after baby will I be ready for visitors beyond our parents? I’m thinking a few weeks. 2. Our 3 grandmothers are 1-3 hour flights away (3 diff places) and cannot travel. When will we be ready to take baby to see them? I’m thinking 4-6 months but that would also be flu/RSV season. Can’t predict the future but family is already talking about trips and I want to set expectations and do what is best for baby. TIA!!

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead.
