I’m a third year associate wanting to leave my second law firm. My first two years of practice I was at a small firm and left to a mid-size firm to practice insurance defense. I have enjoyed the practice but not the firm. The firm’s culture is toxic. The firm has had 7 attorneys leave in the last year. Is it wrong for me to wanting to leave? Will i give the impression of being a job hopper? Does it really matter?

So I had an interview in early September and a second interview almost 2 weeks ago. I received an email with an update last week, essentially saying that the interview went well and they would follow up with me. It’s been about a week. Should I follow up? I graduated from law school in 2019, followed by a 2 yr bk clerkship. I did the evening program. I really enjoyed law school, in spite of the microaggressions, the late nights, & crazy competition.
