Hello! It seems this bowl is not very active but I'd like it to be. So here's my story: Born & raised in PR, moved to CA for undergrad & have been here since then. I graduated from law school in 2019, followed by a 2 yr bk clerkship. I did the evening program. I really enjoyed law school, in spite of the microaggressions, the late nights, & crazy competition. Love all things diversity in the law. Anyway, currently looking for a position in NYC/DC area. 🤗

Hello all, i am selected for the first round of interview for SAP technical role in SAP America. In a 30 min round, may I know as per your experience, would it be a complete technical interview or a techno-managerial ?

I am interviewing for a role, during these crisis times, is it a good time to shift jobs? Is Autodesk doing layoffs, performance based cuts during these difficult times, considering Google, Microsoft, Infosys doing layoffs, hiring freeze, etc..

Is an exec mba from a tier 1 school worth it if I already have a full time mba from a lower ranked school.

About a year ago I took a job closer to home (7.5miles). My previous position is about 50miles away, but I worked there for 11.5 years. I am really thinking about leaving and going back to my previous position. I absolutely HATE my job now. It gives me panic attacks thinking about it. I’ve had to change my anxiety meds and increase dose. Yes my old job is an hour away, but I was so much happier and less BS I had to deal with there. Do y’all think it’s a good idea to take a job with more commute?

Hi there! Is it worth getting a masters in tech or to go back to get a B.S. I know I would have to take a couple classes if I were to pursue the masters.

For international applicants, how it works the GPA part? (The grade system is 0 to 1 in my University for example)
And been the first generation in college, ECs, WE... this things are relevant in which part of the application? For M7 I would "compete" with people that have similar characteristics as me?

Have an offer for an analytics & AI technical product manager role in the payments industry. I’m concerned about the specificity on analytics products, which tend not to have all the features (UI, etc.) that non-analytics products do. Is this an area to avoid or a good opportunity (pay & title aside)?

International arb associates: in general, when does your team have the (almost) final draft ready for the client's review?

On a related question, how far in advance do you start preparing for the hearing (opening, cross, etc)?

I ask because our team is never able to produce a final draft until hours past the deadline (yes, we never meet the deadline set by the tribunal). And our partners don't tell us who should prepare for what until like a week or a few days before the hearing.

Does level and/or office matter for referrals at McKinsey & Company? A friend is willing to refer at the Associate level in my target office though I did not get any traction w/ the referral last year. I'm a Veteran so I also recognize there may be a resume translation issue despite the prior version getting me interviews with BCG and Bain. I’m getting ready for my first review: what kind of raise did you get after your first year? My firm doesn’t have a lock-step increase, so I don’t know what to expect or what to ask for.

I’m a third year associate wanting to leave my second law firm. My first two years of practice I was at a small firm and left to a mid-size firm to practice insurance defense. I have enjoyed the practice but not the firm. The firm’s culture is toxic. The firm has had 7 attorneys leave in the last year. Is it wrong for me to wanting to leave?
