I’m an independent contractor handling E&S renewals in CT. Duties include completing ACORD forms, contacting clients for info, signatures, payments, submitting bind requests and financial docs, updating EzLynx, shopping risks, coordinating with brokers... The agency doesn’t withhold taxes or provide any benefits. I've been working here for 3 years now. Is $22/hr fair for 2025? What’s reasonable? Tips for negotiating pay or remote work? Thanks!

Wow. Entry at my company in a customer service position is $23 with full benefits. Since you are working a specialty line in the industry pay should be at least $28/hr ish. Do you have any designations or licenses? Add a good $1 or $2 depending on what you have. Id look around

I'm non US citizen and thinking of moving back to EU. My plan is getting remote opportunities across the world and work as a freelancer. My speciality is Data analytics and BI (Qlikview, Tableau). 1) How likely I can get a gig from the US? 2) if a job looking for a remote 2-3 months contract do they care what country I'm in? 3) how can I compete Indian rates as I'm in Europe 60-70$ per hour as a BI consultant is a good rate but I see online rates as low 10$😫?

I am far along in the interview process for a job I want (meeting with Chief Legal Officer next week), but am still accepting other interviews until I have a formal offer. However, I have an interview scheduled for early this week where, after further research, I don’t think I would be very happy. Should I let the recruiter know that now, or just do the interview for more “practice”? Thanks!
