Starting salary in my district $58K and goes up to $119K. I’m currently at $105k and haven’t even maxed out yet.
The cost of living is much better here, for sure, but I work for a charter school which has lower pay. Most public schools are 60-70k it is just sad that we have to work multiple jobs to keep a roof over our heads.
Averages are hard because we have anything from new teachers to those with 20+ years.
$55,000 but I looked further into the suburbs and was shocked to see some places listed pay as “state minimum.” Like… WTF?
I’m in Washington and I’m at 96k with 9 years experience. Thankful for our union.
Wow, no unions in TX, and most districts are 50-70k
I am in Rhode Island and I make 75k with 5 years of experience.
