Bless you PMs.

AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

I only fact-check when I really feel the need to. Most times I think chatbots are pretty impressive with their accuracy. And you like you mentioned, I love how chatbots let me ask nuanced questions instead of trying to guess the perfect Google search phrase.
I don't bother with chatbots. In my opinions, it’s faster to Google and at other times, I trust my own research and my sources have always been books. At least for the things I'm looking for.
I don't trust AI tools all that much. So sure, if I ask a question and there's something in the answer I don't know for sure to be true or accurate, I wind up having to Google it anyway. I really only ever use AI tools for brainstorming or suggestions. I don't expect it to produce finished work I could pass along beyond my own eyes. I think doing that would be pretty risky.

I like that they let me ask very specific questions that aren't always easy to answer. Many of them point to their sources, which helps for easy fact-checking.
I fact-check when there are inconsistencies in the answers, where getting a 100% accurate answer is important for what I'm doing, or where my own knowledge or gut says the answer seems off.
Feels like it is very dependent on the question. I’m still mainly typing into google questions, AI is better for summarizing, or pointing me to something else. A little bit of extra research can a go a long way if it seems a little off or you really need to be sure of the answer.

I really don't trust AI all that much to be honest. I have used it a little but I always fact check it because I am so worried it is going to give me the wrong answers haha.
