What jobs are currently paying 85k?
Have an offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role but it seems like this one requires 2-3 days in the office - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

The worst that will happen is they will say the offer is firm. They will not rescind an offer because you counter. They expect candidates to negotiate.

Agree! This is the way
how much lower? how do the non comp benefits (namely insurance) compare to your current situation. If base is $10k lower, for example, you're really not gonna feel that difference ($7,500 after tax divided across 24 or 26 paychecks). If the role opens up a bigger opportunity, it may still be the right move. If it's a lateral shift, do you see yourself being happier in this new environment? Also consider any bonus potential and see if you can assess how "sure"/consistent that tends to be. Hope it helps, good luck!
If they pull the offer cuz you negotiated, is that even a place you wanna work at?
If you’re unsure, first, ask if salary is negotiable and state that you have multiple offers (if you do) and that they are your favorite (if they are) but the money amount is not making sense. Ask if they can meet you in a specific range. The amount you want should be middle of that range and the amount you are willing to settle with should be the bottom. The bottom should be at least 5% over what they offered you.
If you're disappointed in the offer you can try to negotiate. Be aware that in this job market a lot of organizations are not inclined to show much flexibility. If you approach them professionally and make a reasonable counteroffer it shouldn't be a problem. Offers tend to be rescinded if someone's negotiation seems unreasonable or unrealistic.
