How's SVB doing? Is there a hiring freeze?
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Pointless meetings. This seriously could've been resolved in a group chat within 5 minutes. Stop calling people together for no reason, and for the love, stop calling meetings on Fridays (You can tell I am passionate about this lol)

I am SO with you on this. Why waste my time. I have a busy enough schedule as it is without adding pointless meetings !!!
The gossip and constant flexing is mine. I work in an office of mostly men and I thought it would mean less gossip, but nope. Just as much, if not more. Plus, people are always trying to one-up each other about how much their car, watch, house, vacation costs. Yawn.

You shouldn’t need to compare yourself to anyone else to get ahead. Personally I think it’s such a bad way to motivate yourself. You’ll never fully be happy if you’re always comparing to other people, as you never see the full picture!
Yes the gossipy office!!! There was one bank in particular I worked at and the women would all come in with their fancy hair, fake nails, Starbucks coffee but even worse their fake smiles. Every morning like clockwork they’d sit there and complain about their husbands and anything else they could come up with. I am from the country and always had my hair down, barely wore makeup. I was practically a hippie and didn’t really fit in. It’s hard for me to even relate. But I adored the customers!

I’m with you there, I am also a no makeup wearer and don’t do anything with my hair other than brush it and I do not fit in whatsoever. All the others look flawless every day

I can’t stand answering questions more than once… we literally just had a meeting that covered your question… why are you asking again?…

Ahaha I get you, it’s so frustrating. Just listen the first time!!
