Hello ZSers,
I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.
1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.
2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Target firms with strong appellate or complex litigation practices, as they’re usually the ones who will actually pay the 'clerkship bonus' and value your inside-the-courtroom perspective over a few hundred missed billable hours.
Totally agree with this advice
My experience: joined big law after federal clerkship (and state court clerkship before that). Interviews didn’t ramp up until later in the summer, which was later than I expected. I never heard anyone concerned about lack of billing over the two years that I clerked. If anything, what I’ve heard (some directly from hiring partners) is increased attraction to federal clerk hiring for 2-4 year associates. In terms of what to market, you presumably got rigorous writing and (if district court) gained practical experience with the federal rules. What civil litigation practice doesn’t cherish that? Also, if you get multiple offers, leverage the higher clerkship bonus.
