Hello, I’m an associate (almost at the one year mark) at a midsize firm on the EPL team. I did about 2 years of employment law as a clerk during school and know that’s what I want to go into. I’ve asked for more EPL work but keep catching PI cases. I second-chaired an employment trial but don’t see any EPL work for the foreseeable future and wasn’t getting as much EPL exposure as I wanted before the trial. Any advice on a lateral move to a bigger firm with a broader range of EPL work?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date.
