Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Yes. I got 5% more bonus and 8% more base after negotiations.

My general rule is that it’s usually acceptable to counter at 10% higher than the offer. Anything 15% or more might make them balk and question your judgement.
My current job, I countered roughly 8% higher and they came back around with a 5% increase. Bonus is not negotiable for my situation.
Didn’t come from big law (came from mid) but I was able to negotiate smaller things (x1 week more paid vaycay), later start date for bonus to be paid out by firm, and a pretty nice salary compared to what I was projected (tbh, I didn’t do much negotiating because they knew it was a strong salary offering).
Just as a data point, I negotiated a delayed start date to collect biglaw bonus, and an extra 50k in combined cash signing bonus and initial RSU grant. They were extremely firm on base salary.
I couldn’t negotiate base (they wouldn’t budge) but I negotiated a full year end bonus (even though I was starting in July) as well as a 50k signing bonus
