I’m getting a new job in LA as UI Designer after a several months of search. I would have to move, is 80-90k enough for the cost of living there? And how would I negotiate for a higher offer, if that is their stated range? Not sure if it matters, but they have 2-3 other designers in the company. I don’t want to discourage them by asking too much but I also don’t want to be in a situation where I’m just living paycheck to paycheck because—taxes. Thank you so much in advance for your replies!

Hi I have asked to be an advisor for a startup. Its in its very early stage pre pre-seed. Its looking like weekly strategy calls and possibly some executional work as well. Like building out a sales process and/or training sales and marketing team members (this might be 1-3hr a week of work).

They are offering 1.5-3.5%. — I am wondering if that’s enough.

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).
