I’m going to Bali at the end of August and am torn between booking the Singapore Airlines Premium Economy flight from NYC with a layover in Singapore or to book an economy flight on Emirates and see if they would let me upgrade to business class with points at some point. Right now it says it is unavailable but they do provide an estimate. Has anyone ever used points to upgrade on Emirates do they typically open it?
