Skid Row tour
Visual Storyteller
Griffith observatory
Bestia for dinner
Where are they from? Any cool exhibits in town? Pick a good place for lunch/dinner that isn’t trending. Just good /cool environment. No hollywood!
Museum of Jurassic technology
That's in Culver City
Depends on what they’re into. Do they like city stuff? nature stuff? Are they active. My go-to for outta towners- take them for a hike up to the Hollywood sign, observatory, hit a trendy rooftop for dinner/drinks, then laugh factory or a long form improv show. If they wanna go shopping, grove and farmers market for lunch. But my fav is go to the beach, rent cruisers, pedal Santa Monica to Venice and back. People watch. Abbot Kinney. Make sure rental place gives you good bike locks. Good lunch/dinner options everywhere. Get on the Ferris wheel at the pier, then laugh factory or LA Phil etc. to cap it off. Have FUN.
And cirque is here at SM pier
The broad museum is a can't miss, but if you want to spend an awesome day you can go to the Geffin contemporary near Little Tokyo and then go from there to that street in Little Tokyo that's really cool, you could also walk up to Grand Central market
Grand Central Market, Angel’s Flight, The Last Bookstore.
Or picnic at Getty Villa, one of the piers (not Santa Monica) and dinner at whatever cuisine they like best.
Warner Brothers Studio Tour is fun. So is Disney.
The arts district has some great food spots. CHA CHA CHA is a fave, great rooftop.
I think there’s a Christmas market somewhere DT, could be a madhouse but maybe cute/seasonal.
Mercado la Paloma is a very fun spot with lots of food options. It’s smaller, but maybe akin to Chelsea Market or PCM (Atlanta) if you’re familiar. Great place to browse, grab a bite, get a drink here, coffee there, etc. Holbox is there for banging sushi - Michelin star.
