Yeah, that's not a good sign. My guess is that they will try to lowball you or pay you in equity rather than cash. I would seriously consider that as a red flag and probably push the salary conversation sooner rather than later, so you don't waste any more time.
Just be honest and forthright and tell them you need numbers. You're trying to get a job, of course you're in it for the money. It's a job, it's not middle school, if they can't put numbers on paper they're not serious and you shouldn't be wasting time on them.

I'm betting you won't get specifics, no matter how hard you push, until the offer is made. If you're willing to sit through a couple more rounds to get to that point, do so. But if not, it might be time to think about cutting your losses. I could be wrong, but I think this is very likely to result in a lowball offer.
That is really suspicious and I'm not sure I would be wasting much more time on the interview process. Salary is the whole reason you work, so you deserve to know what it will be. No one hides a salary from you if it's a fair salary.
