From my experience METs have a little more hands on experience with GD&T and QC while MEs are a little more theory and design based. If you took and passed the FE no need to fear. Start applying to MEP or consulting jobs under a PE and you’ll move up the ranks fairly quickly
Maybe you just don’t work that hard. No one cares about degrees outside of college.
The MET person wouldn’t be less qualified, the original poster is complaining about it on the internet that normal means he’s not a good worker
There are a number of factors; two immediately come to mind. 1: the hiring manager likes the other intern better. 2: They may have had to pay you more due to your qualifications and extra experience, so they opted to go with the cheapest option.
Don’t take it personal. Continue to get your cert and keep applying.
I'm thinking that's all it is. Just bothers me that I did everything right and still got kicked to the curb.
Cut your losses and move on
Keep interviewing with other companies and go get a better opportunity with a company that truly appreciates your work ethic and your intelligence

Never feels good to feel like you don’t “measure up” but don’t take it personal, many opportunities will come throughout your life, make the most of them!
