I'm looking to switch from criminal prosecution to in house. I have a 13 year background in healthcare and white collar fraud investigations. I'm looking to limit litigation (I've tried enough cases) and hopefully increase pay switching from government.
I really need help from everyone here: I am a tax senior, and I have offer from both EY and MNP. I was at Deloitte earlier and I am not sure which to pick. Same package/benefits. While EY is a great firm and the partners are amazing and all experiences of Big4 and it's resources, MNP has this charm of a Canadian firm and great culture. I don't know much but people say MNP is a great organization. The people I will work with are all amazing to speak during interview. What to do now?
I am currently in maternity leave till end of the year. I want to change job and having some interviews in the upcoming weeks! If the interviewer ask when can I start and why? Can I tell them I need to start in Jan next year bc I am in maternity leave?? Is this going to look bad on me if I say so?

I don't like counting the chickens before my eggs hatch, but I do have to start thinking what happens if things do work out? I have been interviewing for a few companies and believe that I may see an offer in the next month or so.
Besides comparing base and bonus, what things should I be comparing? Both tangible and not?
Also, I have a cash balance pension plan; I know the companies I am talking with do not have that; has anyone here left a company voluntarily with that benefit?
Considering Lasik and will be on my old employer’s insurance for a little longer before starting at Google. Does anyone know whether Google’s health insurance covers a certain amount for Lasik? And if so, how much? Trying to figure out if I should wait. TIA!!
We are a family of 5 and we are outgrowing our current home with kids growing, having more stuff, husband and I wfh for the most part. We definitely need more space. We live in CA and decent homes in our area starts from $1.2M - $1.5M. We only have 80k cash. Where do you get more money for downpayment without touching 401k lol and hoping we can turn the current home into rental to help pay the bills.
Does EY provide Internet bill reimbursement across all projects? Or it depends on project?
So I have an idea focusing on LGBTQ healthcare which fits perfectly into the new platform of my client. It could genuinely do a lot of good for some of our most marginalized, except the client background with the community is *less than glowing*. I’m confident the concept is stellar, but am finding I’m nervous to even bring it up because of my client’s history. Thoughts?
Any advice on how to get out of ID in south Florida? In my 4th year and just can’t do it anymore. Have some coverage experience but don’t really want to deal with insurance companies in general.
I've decided that I'm quitting this coming summer after busy season, as jobs have already been scheduled. I can't take much more of this; my mental health is suffering terribly because of this job. :(
My wife works as an occupational therapist and considering career switch to consulting. Would learning salesforce health cloud be a good option for her as she is from healthcare background? Any help would be appreciated. We are in the US.
Any former/ current sales reps of Paychex can tell me how their experience was working for them? I am in my second round of interviews and have heard mixed things- seems like they provide a good base pay + comp plan, w/b and benefits, training etc. but want to see what I’d be getting myself into. This would be for a Channel Sales Rep & my first experience selling SaaS
Amerisourcebergen doesn't care about its employees. We have no mental health awareness. Leadership only promotes people who kiss ass the most qho have no managerial experience and pass people who actually have experience in a manager role. Leadership never helps you with anything. Managers write you up for no reason amd threaton your job constantly. Ive have leasherip threaten my job while on FMLA and write me up for taking too much time off
Hi! I’m an hr coordinator on a contract. They want to extend my contract, but I was hoping for a perm role, which was supposed to happen. But business changed and that’s not going to happen now. I really need a perm role for benefits, job security, etc. Would you stay with the hopes of a perm role within the next year? I really like this company, just not sure I should hold out, especially since I’ve been going above and beyond my job description. What would you do?

I am currently a licensed banker on the retail side of banking looking to get into portfolio management or equity research. Currently holding SIE, Series 6, 63 and Life insurance. I have a degree in finance and studying to take the CFA. Any tips for the transition? I did not go to a target school and I’m mostly concerned with my lack of experience in the industry. I am also working in office, how do people juggle interviews and work?
I just got back from 3/mo maternity leave and within 5 days got put in the mom penalty box by another woman in leadership. Before baby, I had my best performance quarter ever and I am our department's top performer on strategic accounts. But she said, "so much has changed" and they restructured the backend teams and the new guy was part of that so she gave my TOP CLIENT to someone with 4/years LESS experience who has only been with the company 3 mos. Boss is new, says to wait for another client.
This is regarding income tax proof submission.
I Joined UST on Nov'21 and before UST I was not under any tax slabs. I had only 1 LIC premium being deducted on monthly basis. Though I declared the LIC amount from April 2021 to March 2022. I have still got LIC statements till Dec2021 only.
Also planning to invest in ELSS and term insurance by Jan end. While i only submitted LIC in investment declaration form.
Can someone guide me what will be the process henceforth?

How important is it to get a land survey before closing on a house? Can you wait until afterwards?
The lot is 0.5 acres and neighbors are a good distance away - the home was built 2 years ago and I have what appears to be a map of the property lines, etc. however there is no fence so still not sure of where my land begins/ends.

Hi! Can someone please let me know what the compensation package looks like for a commercial counsel in Equinix? Thanks!
Looking for salary negotiation insight. Google L6, ACC position, 4 years experience. No offer yet (thanks hiring freeze!) but I was told to expect 182-196 base, 10-13% bonus, and RSUs, with total comp in mid-200s for years 1 and 2. Based on other threads and my research, this seems low. Thoughts? Tips for negotiation strategies? Any insight appreciated.
Any insight into culture, expectations and wlb (as counsel) at Facebook/meta mpbile, ai, and connectivity team? Thanks in advance!
It’s worth a shot 😊
Anyone able to give me a referral for Facebook (Meta) or Google?
I am a paralegal with 8 years of experience in the legal industry (+ Fortune 500). I was just diagnosed with a serious health condition and I’m looking for new remote position, that is challenging and offering high pay and benefits. Facebook (Meta) & Google currently have openings for positions that align with my skills. I kind ask that you simply share some tips, if you are unable to offer a referral. THANKS!
Anyone able to provide a referral for a legal role at Apple? If so, please message me. Thanks!
I'm a first yr attorney at an insurance firm and am in the process of interviewing for an in-house position at a tech company. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions. I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership. How common is it to eventually make $350k+ in-house/how difficult is it to transition back to a firm? Thanks!
Trying to get some salary data. I’m a 2016 grad doing global litigation in house in a major metro area (NYC/DC/SF). My salary is $182K. My company says that I’m being paid above market and that doesn’t seem accurate. Could others share their details so I can either (1) push back more on salary; or (2) adjust my expectations.

Can anyone describe Amazon’s culture for an associate corporate counsel, based on team? I’ve read a number of comments on this app and across the internet about the company in general but the individuals never specify what team they’re referring to. I’ve heard from two corp counsel that AWS doesn’t have the best WLB but Prime Video does. I’d be interested to hear what this bowl has to add. The more data points I can gather before interviewing, the better.
Any insight into jr-level associate legal counsel compensation at a public tech co in Austin? I’m not finding much online about lower-level salaries for in-house positions since they’re not as common as mid- or senior-level roles and am expecting an offer, but I’m not sure what’s a reasonable goal for salary negotiations.
Does anyone have any insight on the interview process at Apple for the Legal Counsel roles? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
