I'm middle aged and feeling kind of anchorless. I've typically worked for very small companies (50 or less) and done microproject work for the last 4 years. Frankly, there's not enough money and it puts me in the sweet spot over being over or under qualified for project mngmt work. I'm considering pivoting to the finance sector (interested in hedge fund management maybe?) but have no idea where to start with only an associates degree in business with a 3.14 gpa and no experience.

1st year associate (NY) thinking about lateraling into a large insurance defense firm from Municipal work/L&E, pay jump 75 to 125 and hybrid as opposed to fully in office. Basically is the pay jump/hybrid worth giving up current practice area to ID?
