Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years. I got a job offer as a Tax Associate at PwC. I want to negotiate the salary but the HR said he cant just increase my salary since that would be unfair to other associates. The only thing he can do is to ask to compensation team and if the team approve, every in-coming associates would get a salary increase. Is that true?

So, this is a little awkward, but I recently moved to SD for a fresh start, and honestly, I love this city. My problem is I have been more of a homebody since I moved here and I'm a little intimidated to go out and meet people because I don't feel like I fit in here. I am overweight and this city is full of active, and attractive people. I guess I am wondering what my experience would be if I got out more? I feel like people look at me when I'm in public because I stand out due to my size.

I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.
