Yes. You pay taxes based on where you are physically located while working. So you should be paying income taxes to whatever state you are actually living in if you are working remotely. If you haven’t been paying withholding taxes to that state, you will need to make estimated payments on your own throughout the year to avoid a penalty. You should contact payroll to have them update this though and withhold correctly.
