I'm new to the insurance industry and currently working for an insurance carrier in a retention and sales role. I have over 14 years of experience in sales, but I’m still trying to grasp the psychology behind selling to brokers. It’s crucial for my role, and I want to become a top performer. Since I’m working remotely, I can't learn from my environment like I've done in previous roles. Do you have any recommendations on how I can boost my knowledge in this industry and sharpen my sales skills?

Insurance is a world of it's own for sure!
My company is currently hiring remote, if you're looking for a new career! I work for a very reputable company that's been around for 120 years. We work w/ Union Members, Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Veterans.
We are the official life Insurance for the Dallas Cowboys, LA Lakers, Atlanta Braves and the Texas Rangers! They are doing interviews this next week if you are interested, I'd be happy to help get you set up for an interview!

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. I technically can make bonuses but I’m not supposed to dig into a sale and I have to send it to a sales rep (I am service and retention mostly). My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. I let her know out the gate that I really wasn’t looking to change jobs, but she just kept wanting to continuing the conversation. I didn’t have 2 interviews with the hiring coming and they know that I am not really looking to make a switch. They are now working on an offer letter and I know they’re going to offer me more money. I’m having my annual review this week. Any advice on how to handle a) job offer b) review?
