I’m on a two-person team (boss and I) and we are hiring a new teammate. They only have 2 people in the panel interview though and it doesn’t include me. I’m frustrated by this and couldn’t get a legit reason from my boss or skip level as to why. I want to make sure we jive and candidates should want that, too.

Are there any legitimate reasons this can happen? I’m 1 year in, but tenure alone isn’t a good reason.

So I recently interviewed for an associate PM role with my current company. I’ve been a store manager with them for 11 years. During the interviews, I felt like things were growing great and the feedback I got at the end was great. You’d think given my time knowing the product/ company for so long, that I’d be a great fit but I got rejected and haven’t gotten feedback probably will get ghosted. Should I shoot my shot and advocate for myself with the hiring manager either way?

I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs. I’m wondering what is the best way to approach the topic of getting on the full salary/hours. Do I wait until the bonuses are given at the end of my first year? Or bring it up at mid-year review?
