I would suggest being honest about your situation, especially if you have a solid rapport with the administration. If they value you, they are probably still willing to provide you with a strong recommendation. Also, allowing them time to prepare for your departure demonstrates professionalism, which could benefit you in the long run.

I agree. If they feel like you are hiding something, they may not give the best reference.
Be upfront now. No one can blame you if your partner gets a better job offer in another state and you move. Chances are, they’d do the same thing. Be professional and treat admin based on your values, not on theirs. Good luck in your new home!

I agree with being upfront.
Can you just ask for letters of recommendation and then say that your husband is considering various job options?

Okay, I like this. Regardless of anything else, you are moving. It would only be natural to think that you would want letters of recommendations.
I would be honest. Your husband has taken a job in another state. Ask for the recommendation from admin who you trust and know your dedication to teaching. If you ask prior to letting them know you’re leaving, it looks shady anyway. Just be honest.

Honesty always is best. Otherwise, someone else might say something
Of course you should ask him/her for a reference if you have good rapport with them! People leave for many reasons, and it sounds like you are leaving because you're moving. I didn't have the greatest rapport with an administrator when I left one district, and I still asked her for a reference. And she gave me a lovely reference.
