I'm reaching out for some support in my job hunt. I am in academia and aiming to transition to data science roles, but I'm struggling to get any interviews. Despite applying to 200+ jobs in the past year, I've only had 2 interviews. Feedback from both highlighted my lack of industry experience as a barrier. With my current contract ending in a month, I'm feeling the pressure to find something soon. If you know of any data science openings or could offer a referral, I'd be incredibly grateful.

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. I technically can make bonuses but I’m not supposed to dig into a sale and I have to send it to a sales rep (I am service and retention mostly). My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

Seeking advice: I’ve been working as an analyst at a PE company for 18months 4 days a week on a part time contract and I feel like they are under paying me.
