I'm really struggling to keep track of my billable time due to an extremely heavy case load. Any suggestions or recommendations on how better track ny time would be greatly appreciated.

Any tips on how to get started on prepping for VC interviews

Single 24 year old here. Recently joined Hinge. I am barely getting any activity. I'm a former OKCupid user and I always got something there. Do people not use Hinge or is there something wrong with me? I'm a fit average height guy and I am not ugly. Looking for LTR especially now in the time of Corona. Didn't bother with human interaction before tbh but this loneliness is creeping up. 😔

I miss music. Like actual bands with instruments and vocal ability. Feels like the music industry is so hollowed out that multi-member instrumental bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and even Metallica are no longer able to take root.

There are a few talented individual singers (Adele) a lot of awful mumble rappers, but no actual bands that will stand the test of time. Before I get called a Boomer, the problems with the music industry for new artists are well documented.

For marketing profs working in finance, is it easy to convert from one area in finance to another, even if different niches (i.e. does having a background in banking allow easier transition to fintech, or DeFi?)

I've been exploring exit opportunities for a few months and still holding out for the right opportunity. However, I've had A LOT of recruiters reach out to me for positions that are way below my current salary. They do the whole "your background and expertise is exactly what we're looking for" then turn around and offer a salary range that is 20k below my current level. My resume clearly says I've got 10yrs experience and an MBA. I **don't think* I should be getting offers of 80k-100k

My brother recently graduated high school and wants to work for a year or two before he starts his undergrad. What sort of jobs should he be looking for that could help his resume in the future? He eventually wants to pursue engineering

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

I had final round interviews last week for the company I really want to work for. I have an offer from another company, which I communicated to the recruiter which expedited the interview to final rounds. I need to respond to the other company's offer letter soon. Should I follow up with the hiring recruiter for the company I want an offer from? Or just move on if I haven't heard back by end of this week?

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Where do you find the time to get everything done in the day when you have multiple partners, associates and equity partners that interrupt you and want things turned around immediately while simultaneously working on deadlines? I write economic loss reports. Am I allowed to give a redacted sample of my written economic appraisals to a recruiter? If so, what specifically should I redact.

I’ve been a paralegal for about 30 years in private law firmS. As I get older, I feel like it’s time for a semi-career change. For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? I’ve been in litigation for 15 years and I’m looking to make the switch. Ultimately, I’d like to get into Legal Ops, but feel getting some in house experience first would be beneficial.

So I have my bachelors in criminal justice and I just finished my paralegal certificate course today. My attorney should be making partner this year. With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner.
