Your guess is good as mine. I haven't been luck to get interview from any application made on LinkedIn. It's as if they are just promoting company awareness there. I can't understand at all!!!

Might be a mix of super competitive right now with many legit openings getting 100+ applications, companies being more picky about what they are wanting, and ghost job postings the company has no intent of filling.

I saw a news article a few weeks ago where they researched this exact thing and found that a huge percentage of job ads weren’t real
I think just pickier and using bots to filter out based on the bare minimum. I feel like you have to basically ask for lower than the salary range to even get an interview
It's likely a combo of these factors:
1. Employer labor market so they can be very selective with a massive amount of applications
2. Many people in the application bucket are employed presently and looking for something better (remote/hybrid, better pay, leave toxic culture, etc) which increases the applications beyond just the unemployed job seekers
3. Ghost jobs are still a thing for data mining and brand awareness
4. Emphasis on lean operations and integrating AI more rather than increased headcount
